Updating Your WordPress URL from Temporary to Live Domain

If you have been using a temporary URL for your WordPress site and wish to switch to your live domain, follow these steps to update the URL settings:

  1. Log In to Your WordPress Dashboard:

    • Access your WordPress admin area by logging in with your credentials.

  3. Update Site URL and Home Fields:

    • Locate the Site Address (URL) and WordPress Address (URL) fields. These fields currently display the temporary URL (e.g., http://example-co-uk.staging.com).

    • Replace both of these URLs with your live domain (e.g., http://example.co.uk).

  4. Save Your Changes:

    • Click Save Changes to apply the updates.

    • Important: Ensure you replace any hyphens (e.g., -) with periods (e.g., .) in your domain name to ensure the live domain functions correctly.
